All of these belts are hand made by women's cooperatives in rural areas of Peru. The work is done according to fair trade guidelines; most of the artisans sew in their homes or at a communal studio workshop and are paid a living wage. The sizing is: small (fits 23"-31"), medium (fits 28"-37") and large (fits 34"-43").

Wool embroidered belts

Each belt is a one-of-a-kind work of beautiful craftsmanship using a contemporary take on traditional Andean techniques.

Base colors are black, brown, purple, blue, cream, olive, cranberry, and citron. (Not all of them are pictured here.) Embroidery is multi-colored with a large palette of blues, greens, purples, reds, oranges, pinks, etc. Comes in assorted patterns. 1-7/8" wide.
